The Buck 790 Mini Range Elite knife packs a lot of craftsmanship into a particularly compact design!
With its 6.5 cm blade and a weight of just 65 g, this pocket knife slips easily into a pants pocket or bag. Its CPM MagnaCut steel, one-handed opening, and ambidextrous lock make it a practical tool for everyday tasks, without turning your pocket into a miniature toolbox.
Compact, high-tech, and ready for action
This Buck folding knife features a 6.5 cm smooth blade made of CPM MagnaCut steel. This high-end material offers a refined balance between edge retention, durability, corrosion resistance, and ease of sharpening. Its drop-point profile is perfectly suited for everyday carry (EDC) uses: opening a package, cutting a piece of cord, preparing a snack, or doing a quick DIY project.
The satin finish gives it a understated and elegant look, while minimizing distracting glare. With a thickness of 2.2 mm and a 20° edge angle, the blade remains easy to handle and precise.
The aluminum handle measures 9 cm when the knife is closed. It contributes significantly to the knife’s featherlight weight, while offering a comfortable grip. The phosphor bronze washers ensure smooth opening, which is easily triggered usingthe thumb stud.
Convenient thumb-operated opening
The thumb stud on the blade allows you to open the knife quickly with just one hand. A gentle push of the thumb provides the necessary force, and the blade is then guided until it is fully extended. This design is particularly useful when the user needs to keep one hand free, especially outdoors or while performing manual tasks.
The thumb stud also provides a comfortable grip for controlling the movement and allows for a smooth, gradual opening. The knife can be used by both right- and left-handed people by simply adjusting the position of the fingers.
A reliable lock
TheCrossbar Lock mechanism locks the blade in the open position using an internal bar that rests against the blade’s heel. This design minimizes the risk of accidental closure during use. To unlock the mechanism, you must pull simultaneously on both accessible ends on the sides of the handle. The system’s symmetrical design makes it suitable for use with either hand. It ensures simple handling and good control of the knife.
