These Bérard tongs are a must-have for easily retrieving your toast without the risk of burning yourself. Handcrafted from a single piece of olive wood in the age-old Bérard tradition. Experience acquired since 1892 to achieve this remarkable product quality! Each piece is handcrafted near the Mediterranean basin, to be as close as possible to the trees. What's more, because of the uniqueness of the raw material, each item has its own unique veining.
The Bérard toasting tongs are made entirely from olive wood. This wood has interesting aesthetic and functional qualities. With its high density, it does not absorb odors and is more resistant to stains than other types of wood. It is also nourished with beeswax to increase its resistance. What's more, it's appreciated for its yellowish color and harmonious grain.
Bérard's olive-wood tongs have a dual purpose: either to remove still-warm toast from the toaster, or to catch gherkins in a jar.
Easy to clean, simply rinse and dry. However, avoid the dishwasher to preserve the quality of the wood. Regular application of vegetable oil or wax is recommended to ensure that your tongs retain their sturdiness for years to come.
