The folding knife is an essential accessory for all adventurers. Both practical and efficient, it's a must-have amenity for your escapades. You'll always have it close at hand, as it can be kept in your pocket.
LE FIDELE has long been renowned for its regional knives, such as its Laguiole-type knives . These French-made models come in a variety of materials: ebony, pistachio, walnut handles...LE FIDELE will delight enthusiasts in search of tradition and authenticity.
This 12cm Laguiole folding knife features a Sandvik 12c27 stainless steel blade, which is notably resistant to corrosion. The hardness of this alloy is 57HRC on the Rockwell scale, so the blade offers a very good ratio between edge retention and ease of sharpening. What's more, the quality of the steel means you can avoid over-sharpening.
The blade is suitable for several types of cutting: you can cut food, such as meat, but also other materials, such as cord if you use it outdoors. The serrated part above the bolster is specially designed to accommodate your finger. It will give you more strength when cutting (as it makes the blade edge less pronounced).
This knife features the Nail Nick opening system. The notch at the end of the blade allows you to open the knife with your fingernail.
The decorated handle is made of birch laminated to an ebony veneer. Birch wood is renowned for its resistance to extreme temperatures and humidity (as it rapidly evaporates water on contact), making it an excellent companion for expeditions as well as for the simple preparation of a dish at home. Ebony is considered a precious exotic wood. The combination of birch wood and ebony makes this knife a natural object with a unique grain, both traditional and tropical.
One thing's for sure: you won't be disappointed.
