The Opinel Facette set of 4 knives in olive wood has a modern and elegant bistro chic style!
These 4 table knives have a smooth-edged 11cm blade that slices cleanly through a wide range of foods. You can carve meats, cheeses and vegetables with the certainty that they won' t be damaged. The smooth cutting edge does not break the fibers of the food, preserving all its taste qualities.
Knife blades are made from MA5 martensitic stainless steel. This alloy offers excellent mechanical performance and is highly resistant to corrosion and impact.
MA5 steel is capable of cutting hard foods with ease, thanks to its high resistance to wear. Avoid cutting bones, however, as this could break your knives. Also, with a hardness of around 56 HRC, your knives are easy to sharpen and efficient. Note also that the blade is shaped like a traditional Yatagan, Opinel's signature.
Finally, the knife blade has a full tang design. This means it measures the full size of the knives, ensuring great strength and reliability.
The knives in this set feature magnificent olive wood handles. A typical Mediterranean tree, olive wood can be recognized by its warm golden-orange hue and pronounced sinuous grain. With its beautifully polished finish, it also has a very pleasant feel.
The olive wood plates are securely attached to the knives' full tang blade by 3 small rivets. This makes your knives even stronger.
The knives in the Facette range were designed by the BIG-GAME design studio. Opinel has once again called on the studio that previously designed their Intempora kitchen knives, for example. The studio has reproduced the traditional heel of Opinel folding knives, in addition to the Yatagan blade, but the originality lies in the full tang that protrudes from the handle. These knives are both modern and traditional in design.
The contents are presented in an elegant blue box, highlighting the hue of the olive wood handles. These are top-quality knives made in France.
