The Salamandra Hela folding knife will take you on your adventures in style!
Salamandra is an artisan cutler based in Albacete, Spain. It designs high-quality folding knives using noble materials, as in this Hela knife.
The knife's 11cm handle is made from bocote wood. This is a precious exotic wood also known as "Mexican rosewood". Its color ranges from light to dark brown, with golden highlights. Note that the color and grain may differ slightly from one knife to another, making them unique. This wood is also very robust.
This knife features a 7.5cm blade in 1.4116 stainless steel, an alloy forged at 1200°C which is cooled before being hardened. As a result, it achieves a hardness of 58HRC for easy daily maintenance. This stainless steel is also resistant to corrosion and impact.
The knife blade is easily opened using the Flipper system. Simply pull on the pin at the top of the handle, and the blade will swing open. To lock or close it, an inner notch helps you. This is the spring housed between the knife's plates, which holds the blade open. By exerting pressure on its back, you fold the blade.
The knife comes with an elegant leather pouch for safe transport and storage. Perfect for your backpack or jacket pocket!
