The De Buyer Mineral B country-style sauté pan can be used to preparea wide range of dishes!
The De Buyer sauteuse paysanne is the perfect cooking utensil for preparing large quantities of dishes and for sautéing potatoes. It allows you to sear, sauté, brown and simmer in a very practical way! Its extra-high rims are ideal for limiting splattering when cooking meats.
The sauteuse is available in 3 sizes:
- ø24cm: bottom diameter: 16.5cm; height: 7.8cm; weight: 1kg
- ø28cm: bottom diameter: 19.5cm; height: 8.7cm; weight: 1.8kg
- ø32cm: diameter of base: 22.5cm; height: 9.6cm; weight: 2.26kg
The sauté pan is made of iron, a 100% natural, sturdy mineral. It is guaranteed without any added coatings or chemical components. A thin layer of organic beeswax provides antioxidant protection. Iron is known to reach high temperatures during cooking, caramelizing the juices. As a result, they give food its great taste, crisping up while remaining soft or melting inside.
This versatile sauté pan is suitable for all burners, including induction, and can also be used in the oven for roasting or au gratin. It is fitted with 2 stainless steel handles that resist corrosion and shocks, making them long-lasting. The sturdy, riveted handles make the sauteuse easy to handle, especially when it's full!
Over time, your sauté pan will turn black. This is perfectly normal and is called culottage. The more you use it, the more naturally non-stick it becomes, and the better you cook. It's recommended that you first bottom your pan before using it.
A small care guide explaining how to do this and how to clean the sauteuse is supplied, as it is not dishwasher-safe. Do not use detergents, as they may damage your sauteuse.
