The blade is made from American CTS XHP powder-coated steel, making this pocket knife a top-of-the-range product. This CTS XHP steel, manufactured by Carpenter Technology Co., has a high percentage of carbon and chromium for excellent corrosion resistance. The blade opens easily thanks to Spyderco's patented SpyderHole.
Spyderco has used exclusive materials to manufacture this Techno 2 folding knife. Among others, the handle is made of titanium machined from 6AL-4V Titanium with a beautiful stone-polished finish. Techno 2' s unusual styling features green anodized titanium spacers that connect the two parts of the handle to create an open-backed look for easy cleaning and maintenance.
Spyderco has crafted this Techno 2 folding knife with fervor. The American cutlery giant has chosen an ultra-high-strength locking mechanism to secure the blade in the open position: the Reeve Integral-Lock.
