Karambits first appeared on the Malaysian islands around the 14th century. They are distinguished by the aggressive shape of their blade, which resembles a tiger's claw.
The hawkbill-shaped blade is crafted from 100% stainless VG10 steel with high resistance to abrasion and mechanical stress. The non-reflective black titanium carbonitride (TiCN)coated blade has a hardness value of 59-61HRC. Use this karambit with complete peace of mind, as its blade locks in the open position thanks to the back-locking device to prevent accidental closing.
You can open the blade in two ways. The first is the typical Spyderco opening method: SpyderHole. Using a 13mm diameter hole, you can open the blade with just one hand. The second is the Emerson Wave opening system. At the rear of the blade, there's a hook that allows you to quickly open the blade while removing the knife from your jeans pocket.
The handle is made of G10. This is fiberglass combined with epoxy resin. The G10 handle is extremely durable, resistant to high and low temperatures and chemical agents. Its non-slip texture gives you an excellent grip.
A rounded ring is visible at the end of the handle for exceptional grip security and a better cutting experience.
