Description

The Amalgam series is the pinnacle of Spyderco's range of high-quality knives. The magnificence of this knife is enhanced by all the advantages of its technologies: Compression Lock, Thumbhole, Flipper and also the quality of its handle. This is a sublime folding knife designed by Brian Lai, a young mechanical engineering student.

Spyderco designed the handle from a G10 material laminated with carbon fiber. The G10 handle is grooved to prevent the knife from slipping out of your hand during use. It's fair to say that Amalgam's handle is of unspeakable quality.

As for its profiled Drop Point blade, it's made from CPM S30V stainless steel. This is American powder steel with added carbon, chromium and vanadium for greater resistance to corrosion and mechanical stress.

Amalgam's Compression Lock prevents the blade from closing unintentionally. This compression lock offers extreme strength and ease of use.

Two methods are available for opening this knife. The first method is to open the blade using a hole at the rear of the blade, also known as the "Trademark Round Hole" or"Thumbhole". The other method is the Flipper, i.e., a pin located between the blade and the handle when the pocket knife. This pin is pulled out to extend the blade.

Carry this Amalgam folding knife when hiking, thanks to the pocket clip screwed to the back of the handle.
