Spyderco Drunken is the result of a collaboration between the giant Spyderco and Dmitry Sinkevich, a famous and respected cutler and designer in the cutlery world. He has already collaborated with leading cutlery brands, but Drunken is his first creation with Spyderco.
Why Drunken? The name of this folding knife comes from a little anecdote told by Dmitry Sinkevich. Indeed, when designing the handle. Mr Sinkevich had a few glasses of vodka, hence the name "Drunken".
The designer had meticulously constructed the handle in two materials. On one side, a titanium coating with a spider-web pattern to reduce the knife's weight. On the other, a carbon-fiber coating and stainless steel lining. Spyderco has chosen specific materials to design this luxury knife to offer fans a perfect grip.
Its Sheepfoot-type blade is crafted from CPM S90V stainless steel, a steel renowned for the quality of its special steel grades. With its high vanadium content, it offers exceptional resistance to wear and corrosion, as well as improved cutting performance.
The titanium handle is the basis of the Reeve Integral Lock locking mechanism. This is a highly secure locking system similar to Frame Lock but with a cleanly improved structure.
Drunken's blade opening mechanism is by Spyderco. This is the 13mm hole opening known as SpyderHole or Thumbhole.
You can easily carry this stylish knife with a pocket clip on the back of the handle.
