The story of the Native range first began in 1997, when Spyderco designed the Native series to meet the needs of fans who demanded a folding knife combining performance, elegance and ergonomics. For this version of the Native 5, Spyderco has chosen LC200N steel for the blade. LC200N is one of the latest types of steel on the market. Rich in nitrogen, it is designed to offer superior anti-corrosion properties.
This knife is suitable for activities in the maritime world thanks to its LC200N steel, which resists abrasion and salt water. If you're a diver or deep-sea adventurer, you won't be disappointed when you opt for this pocket knife.
The blade opens easily with just one hand, thanks to the Thumbhole opening system. This is a circular hole for quick and easy opening.
What about the handle? Like all Native knives, the extremely durable and lightweight handle of this Native 5 version is made from bright yellow glass-fiber reinforced nylon, particularly visible on the seabed.
The handle features a sturdy Back-Lock to hold the blade in the open position during use. This locking system is widespread and is also used on Buck folding knives. Very easy to use, the blade locks automatically as soon as it moves into the open position, and unlocks when pressure is applied to the pump on the back of the handle.
Finally, this knife features a 4-position adjustable pocket clip for attachment to your belt.
Keep up with the latest trends in cutlery with this Native 5 folding knife with yellow FRN handle!
