Alessi's Dry menagère has become a veritable icon for the Italian brand. It is the symbol of Alessi's first steps into the world of cutlery.
It was designed by the famous designer Achille Castiglioni. This Milanese designer is one of the greatest names in his field in Italy. With a career spanning more than 60 years, he has left an indelible mark on the world of design and an incredible legacy. During his lifetime, Castiglioni worked with many major companies, including Alessi. A major artist, he has won the Compasso d'Oro, one of the world's highest design awards, 7 times. Many of his works are on display in the world's leading museums.
The Dry housewife is one of the pieces that won Castiglioni a Compasso d'Oro in 1984. It responds to the designer's vision of providing a practical solution to the little problems of "being at the table", while at the same time offering intelligent functional innovation and satisfying public tastes. For example, Dry boasts a delicate satin finish that gives it great elegance and prevents cutlery from slipping from your hands.
Let's move on to the composition of the housewife:
- 6 forks 19cm
- 6 knives 22,2cm
- 6 soup spoons 19cm
- 6 teaspoons 10,5cm
This cutlery set is made from 18/10 stainless steel. This alloy has the advantage of long durability, being robust and resistant to corrosion. The all-stainless steel color of this set makes it a timeless piece of cutlery that can be used for both everyday and festive occasions.
This timeless cutlery set comes in an elegant cardboard box, making it a superb gift idea.
