Alessi Juicy Salif juicer in cast aluminum designed by Philippe Starck

The Juicy Salif citrus juicer will appeal to all those who love objects that are both stylish and functional. In fact, as well as being a highly decorative piece, the juicer is efficient in everyday use.

This juicer owes its original shape to Philippe Starck, the famous French designer and architect. A true design superstar, Philippe Starck is an inventor with a fantastic imagination. His aim is to make design democratic: his creations should improve the everyday lives of as many people as possible. A true chameleon, Starck adapts to the times, and his work has taken on an ecological dimension by using recycled or recyclable materials. Philippe Starck has won numerous awards, including the Compasso d'Oro, one of the highest distinctions in the world of design.

Juicy Salif was imagined by Starck during his vacations on the Amalfi Coast in Italy. While eating squid, he realized he had no lemon. So he started scribbling a squid-inspired juicer on his napkin. Juicy Salif was born. Today, it's an iconic piece widely studied around the world.

It's a lightweight yet sturdy piece of cast aluminum. Thanks to its 3 feet, the juicer stands on its own. To use it, simply place a glass under the tip of the juicer and squeeze half a citrus fruit on its upper part, while holding one of its 3 feet. The juice will flow slowly along the grooves of the juicer.

For even more authenticity, the Alessi logo is engraved on one of the juicer's feet. A true work of art, Juicy Salif can be permanently displayed on your table or in your kitchen.
