Cristel Platine curved glass lid

Cook safely with the Cristel Platine lid!

This lid is made from high-grade tempered glass that is both heat-resistant and shock-resistant. In fact, should the lid accidentally slip from your hand, the glass will break into smaller, less sharp pieces than untreated glass, limiting the risk of cuts.

Its curved shape directs condensation droplets to the edges of the cooking utensil, protecting your food. The lid ensures even cooking of food, as the dish is covered. Hydration is retained, so the dish doesn't dry out. Also, when you boil water, it boils faster.

It features a corrosion-resistant stainless steel ring that is finished to fit perfectly over your cooking utensil, preventing air from escaping.

A brushed stainless steel Cristel button is located on the top of the lid, and features a notch for clipping on a removable handle (sold separately), giving you an excellent and safe grip, avoiding any risk of burns.

This glass lid is oven-safe up to 220°C, and offers other advantages: it protects and stores food contained in a saucepan or stewpot, keeps it warm, avoids splashes and splatters, and assists simmering.

Easy to clean, it's dishwasher-safe, so you don't have to!

The Cristel Mutine glass lid is available in a range of diameters from 12 to 40cm to suit all your cooking utensils! The diameter is printed on the lid to help you find it quickly in your kitchen drawers!
