Cristel Castel'Pro curved glass lid with fixed stainless steel handle

The glass lid for simmering

This Castel'Pro lid is made from high-quality tempered glass, renowned for its heat resistance and impact resistance. Should the lid accidentally fall, the glass will break into sharper, smaller pieces than untreated glass, ensuring safety against cuts.

The curved shape of the lid is designed to direct condensation droplets along the edges of the cookware. Your food is thus perfectly preserved, as it doesn't get soggy.

This glass lid is suitable for oven use up to +250°C, and offers a number of advantages: it is ideal for simmering, prevents splattering and protects the food contained in the cookware.

Last but not least, it features a fixed rectangular handle for an excellent grip. The handle is made of strong, resistant stainless steel, and features the elegant"Cristel" logo.

Cristel lid for all Castel'Pro utensils

This lid is available in 10 sizes to suit all your needs: 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30 and 32cm. Its versatility means you can use it on all Castel'Pro cookware, including frying pans. Please note, however, that it is not suitable for use with grill pans and mini utensils.

In addition, it features stainless steel strapping that fits snugly into cooking utensils, preventing air from passing through. This sturdy hooping resists corrosion.

The glass lid is part of Cristel's Castel'Pro range, which the French brand has developed in consort with top chefs. It meets the demands of haute gastronomy, and accompanies professionals from preparation to service. Cristel was awarded a Label Observeur du Design in 2018 for this innovative, high-performance range.

What's more, its glass and stainless steel design makes it easy to clean, as it's dishwasher-safe. It ensures optimum hygiene while saving you time.
