This model of Wildsteer knife was created in collaboration with the GIGN to meet the specific needs of this elite unit. The basic objective was to achieve a whole new level of performance in the field. Every aspect of this knife has been carefully studied, resulting in a final product that rivals the best in its class.
The blade of the Wildsteer Wing-Tactic WING06213 is made from a corrosion-resistant metal alloy. This material is known as X50CrMoV15 stainless steel. The finish is anthracite. Thanks to its tanto profile, the tip of the knife can easily perforate the material. In addition, its Rockwell hardness of 55-56HRC guarantees satisfactory cutting power and sharpness.
The Wing-Tactic 06113 knife features a voluminous Kraton handle. This makes it comfortable to use, even when wearing gloves. The handle's upper guard features a marked position for the thumb, for a consistently secure grip. Two holes are also provided for the passage of an elastic cord, which can be used to secure the hand to the knife. What's more, the pommel of the handle is equipped with a glass breaker for emergency situations. It's also worth noting that this knife can be used with wire-cutting pliers to cut wire up to 2.5mm.
Thanks to a patented system, it is possible to modify the knife's main function. For example, by screwing a jigsaw blade onto the end of the wire cutter, the knife can be used as a saw. Similarly, if a hexagonal-ended drill bit is inserted at the end after protecting the blade with the guard supplied with the pliers, the knife can also be used as an auger.
You'll note that this model lacks the GIGN logo. While this knife may look like it's been designed for law enforcement, this model is more geared towards survival in the forest.
