The 1090570903 block contains 7 kitchen knives and 2 accessories with blades forged in X50CrMoV15 stainless steel. This stainless steel is renowned for its shock and corrosion resistance. The alloy has an average hardness of 58 HRC, giving you a long-lasting edge that's easy to sharpen.

Blade forging guarantees extremely sturdy knives. These blades are formed by Wüsthof's expert cutlers using a press at a very high temperature. As a result, Ikon kitchen knives have a full tang blade.

Knives and accessories have a double bolster between blade and handle. This gives the knives ideal balance, distributing their weight evenly. Their pronounced guard allows you to use the knives safely, without your fingers slipping on the blade.

These knives feature a superb handle made from African grenadilla wood, a rare, luxurious species whose exploitation is regulated for the sake of sustainability. Grenadilla is a very dense wood, making it highly robust. It is also highly resistant to humidity.

Knife handles are oval-shaped for excellent grip and long-lasting comfort. This shape reduces the fatigue associated with intensive use.

The grenadilla is pressed against the knives' full tang blade by three stainless steel rivets. This gives your knives great stability and strength, for total control when cutting.
