Natural whetstone from Arkansas RH PREYDA large grains + wooden case

Arkansas stone is the most widely used stone in the cutlery world! This RH PREYDA brand stone's coarse grain enables you to regain the blade's edge and sharpen it efficiently.

The stone is made from novaculite, a micro-crystalline quartz found only on the American continent. This material is particularly strong, making this stone highly resistant to impact and wear. Its coarse grit size, equivalent to 400/600, enables you to recover the edge of your blade when it has large defects, without removing too much material.

The stone is supplied in an elegant, high-quality wooden case, so you can store it after use to prevent damage. What's more, a black silicone frame surrounds the stone to act as a support during sharpening, keeping the stone securely in place for successful sharpening.

Arkansas stones are so-called "oil stones", as it is advisable to use sharpening oil for best results. However, this stone can also be used with water, but if you've started using it with oil, you'll have to continue that way. On the other hand, the reverse is possible: if you've started with water, you can move on to oil.

This Arkansas stone is available in two sizes:

- 20 x 5 x 1.3cm and 23cm box.

- 25 x 5 x 1.3cm and 28cm case

The stone is made from a variety of quartz from different quarries. As a result, each stone has a unique appearance. The photos are therefore not contractual (the stone may be of different shades, and the colors shown in the photos are not exhaustive). Instructions for use are also supplied with the box.
