This antioxidant cork preserves the wine in a bottle that has already been opened, thanks to its carbon filter and sillicone closure, which inhibits the oxidizing effect of oxygen on the wine (the wine is no longer in contact with oxygen and acetic acid, which damage it). As a result, it no longer has that unpleasant vinegar taste.
No handling is required, so it's more efficient than a vacuum pump!
