Chabret maintenance balm for wooden cutting boards and logs

The application of Chabret maintenance balm is essential to improve the longevity of your cutting board and kitchen block! Regular use is recommended.

This maintenance balm is made from a blend of food-grade mineral oil and natural beeswax. It helps maintain your logs and protect them effectively during cutting.

Apply it to the entire surface of the log, leave to penetrate for around 10 minutes, then wipe off any excess with a clean cloth. In this way, the balsam will penetrate and set into the wood fibers, making it more resistant to intensive cutting, food juices, repeated washing, drying and cracking. It also makes the utensil easier to clean!

This operation should be repeated when your log begins to whiten.

You should also oil the cutting surface once or twice a month with an edible oil. To be carried out in addition to the maintenance balm.
