What are the differences between American and Parisian saws?

The American saw

The American sawhas a fairly thin blade, around 11mm. It is therefore much more penetrating and faster than a Parisian saw, but thinner also means more fragile.

It also has 3 anchoring points to fully encompass the corner of the frame. As a result, it will be much more solid and resistant against sturdy objects. This type of saw is more common in industry.

What's more, the lengths of these blades are measured in inches, which we convert into cm. A 25-inch length corresponds to 63.5cm, or a 44.5cm blade to 17? inches.

The Parisian saw

The Parisian saw has a thicker, higher blade for slicing all types of bone, making it dimensionally stable.

What's more, it has 2 anchoring points, with the attachment located at the rear of the frame, which makes for a different grip from that offered by the American saw.
