Description

The Alessi Alessandro M. corkscrew is most surprising. Away from the standard steel lever corkscrews, here we have an authentic self-portrait of the designer who conceived it!

In fact, its original visual is a reflection of Alessandro Mendini, the Italian architect and designer from Milan. He won several international awards, including the famous Compasso d'Oro, one of Italy's highest design honors. Mendini was known for his love of using color (as seen on these cork stoppers) to enliven the soul of everyday objects and give them a cheerful aspect, breaking with the image of overly pared-down modern design.

This colorful corkscrew comes in three variations, so it's up to you to choose which one suits you best!

Made from a blend of thermoplastic resin and chromed zamak, the Alessi Alessandro M. corkscrew is light, durable and easy to use. It stands on its own, so you can place it on your table with complete peace of mind.

The mechanism is simple: simply place the corkscrew on the neck of the bottle, then turn the man's head so that the stem engages the cork. Once this is done, simply turn the head in the other direction to remove the cork from the bottle. The fact that the bottom of the corkscrew rests on the bottle means that the rod goes straight down into the cork (there's no risk of sticking it sideways, which would compromise the cork's exit).

For added authenticity, the designer's name and year of conception have been engraved on the underside of the corkscrew.

Dress your table and your aperitifs in color and joy with the Alessandro M. corkscrew!
