The Alessi Plissé citrus press was developed by Michele De Lucchi, an Italian architect by training. He is well known in Italy for his architectural works, and has been part of the international scene since the 1980s. He likes to vary his fields of activity, for example, brilliantly mixing product design with pure architecture, academic research and brand image consultancy.

The Plissé series refers to the world of fashion and the designers who use fabrics to create garments with almost sculptural forms.

First of all, the juicer is made of high-quality thermoplastic resin. This odorless material won't give your juices any taste, and it's guaranteed BPA-free.

Secondly, it has a non-slip base, making it safer to use.

To use, simply remove the protective cover, then press your halved citrus fruit onto the cone. Apply gentle pressure and the mechanism engages. If you remove the pressure, the mechanism stops immediately.

A stainless steel sieve retains any seeds that may fall out during juicing. You can easily remove it for cleaning.

The Alessi juicer features a drip-free spout for precise pouring.

Once you've finished using it and cleaned it, you can hide the power cord underneath to make the most of its design. You can also replace the cover to hide the effective part and give it back its designer look.
