If you're a fan of products from the Rising Sun, you'll love the maekake, a traditional Japanese apron that's been in use for over 500 years.

Japanese company Anything Co continues to perpetuate this tradition by handcrafting this apron using 100-year-old looms!

Made entirely by hand, this 67 x 47 cm (including fringe) kitchen apron is made from quality cotton and features a 260cm belt in typical red - orange and white colors that simply fastens at the waist. The length of this belt is suitable for waist sizes up to 95cm, so it's equally suitable for men and women.

This kitchen apron is unmistakable thanks to its indigo blue color and features the emblem of Japan: the famous Mount Fuji.

Tied at the waist directly over the hips, this kitchen apron protects your clothes from splashes and also helps to protect your lumbar vertebrae for safe cooking.

As it is hand-made, you need to take a few precautions to care for it:

- Do not use bleach or fabric softener.

- Do not tumble dry.

- Do not wash in lukewarm water.

- Wash separately from whites as dye may transfer to other fabrics. May shrink slightly after washing due to the nature of the fabric.
