This Bérard kitchen spatula is made from olive wood. As well as being hygienic, this wood is much appreciated for its characteristic fruity scent.

This strong, tightly-fibered wood is hand-worked by the brand's craftsmen, bearers of a unique savoir-faire. The grain is unique to each plank, wood being a living material. As a result, no two spatulas will look the same, and that's the beauty of it all!

Olive wood also has other advantages, such as its resistance to scratches, odors and humidity.

To wash it, simply rinse and then wipe dry with a soft cloth. Be sure to let it dry thoroughly before storing, to prevent the wood from working. For optimum maintenance, you can oil it from time to time to protect it.

The Bérard company was founded in 1892 by Marius Bérard, a true wood lover. He settled in the Drôme near a waterhole, the river providing the energy for the machines in production. The family adventure continued with the creator's sons, who developed numerous wooden Utensils and accessories.

In the 70s, the company began to specialize in the world of kitchens. The factory's preferred materials are beech, boxwood and the olive tree, a true Mediterranean symbol.
