The bar is soft, so if you're not careful, the knives aren't straight. Magnets not strong enough for a rifle, for example.

The magnetized plates are glued askew, so they don't all come into contact with the blade you put on them, which greatly reduces the holding force of the bar.
I had to dismantle it, take out the blades and glue them back together. It's a bit better now, but it's not perfect.
