TheBobet sharpener 'Easy sharpener is a professional sharpener, ideal for the catering and butchering trades.
It enables you to maintain your equipment efficiently, with just a few quick, precise strokes. It's important to keep your equipment sharp, because a knife that doesn't cut can cause muscle fatigue (wrist, hand, shoulder...).
The Sharp'Easy is designed to be accessible to all, whether right- or left-handed, and whether you're a seasoned user or a beginner.
The box includes :
- 1 sharpener with specially treated stainless-steel components to increase resistance over time
- 1 stainless steel bracket for fixing in two different positions (please note that 6mm diameter bolts are not included)
You can use this sharpener for 2 purposes:
- Straighten the edge of a damaged blade: the edge of the blade is the cutting part of the knife, the outermost part of the steel. With repeated use, this edge is damaged (by repeated contact with bones, cutting boards, etc.). It is therefore important to take care of it to maintain the efficiency of your knives. TheSharp'Easy Bobetsharpener straightens a damaged edge. To do this, simply place the blade as far down as the guide blades, then pull it towards you gently, exerting slight pressure. These are the V-shaped tabs that will straighten your knife's wire. Repeat the operation a few times for best results.
- Regular knife maintenance and morfil removal: thesharpener can also be used on a regular basis, so that you never let your knives get too damaged. To do this, insert the blade back into the guide blades, and when you come into contact with the torsion bars, bring the knife back towards you, all the way to the tip, while continuing to descend slightly along the guide blades (without reaching the tongues). A few strokes and you're done! In addition to maintaining your knife's sharpness, this maneuver eliminates the morfil that begins to accumulate on the steel (micro-waste of steel created by repeated cutting).
Thesharpener can be used in 2 positions: either 45° or 90° (depending on the angle you use to attach the holder to a work surface or table). So you always have it to hand! What's more, the stainless steel holder features a knife wear indicator. You need to insert the tip of the knife inside the notch, and if the tip touches the bottom without being blocked by the notch walls, it's time to replace your knife, as it has reached its maximum degree of wear.
Thesharpener is easy to dismantle, so you can maintain it without any headaches (for example, you can sterilize it).
