The extra coarse grater is Microplane's all-round grater! It's ideal for making shavings from hard cheeses (like Parmesan or Cheddar), fruit or vegetables (for grated carrots, red cabbage, and even coconut shavings...).

The wide, high-quality stainless steel blade is made in the USA. Its unique photochemical design ensures a razor-sharp edge in all applications. This method involves cutting the grater blade with a special solution, ensuring impeccable results. Its sharpness is such that food is not damaged or shredded during use. They are cut with precision, allowing you to bring out their full flavor.

A non-slip tip has been attached to the top of the blade, to prevent it from slipping during use, or simply to protect your work surface: simply wedge this stable base on a flat surface for firm support and ease of use.

A protective cover is also supplied, for secure storage in a kitchen drawer.

The Master Series handle is made of walnut from Kentucky, USA. It has been oiled to protect it. Its warm hues give it a distinctive, rustic look. A steel hook has been attached to the end of the grater so that it can be hung from a utensil bar. So it's always close at hand!

For maintenance, the grater should be washed by hand without soaking in the sink, to preserve its appearance and effectiveness (wood is not dishwasher-safe). We recommend wiping with a soft cloth after washing.
