Description

Wüsthof is a German company specializing in the manufacture of quality knives. The brand was founded in 1814 and is renowned for its high-quality kitchen knives. Their knives are handmade in Solingen, Germany, and are considered some of the finest kitchen knives in the world. In addition to kitchen knives, this leading German company also offers other kitchen accessories such as thisergonomic sharpening guide.

A practical sharpening guide for amateurs

You won't soon be able to do without this little Wüsthof sharpening guide! Handling a whetstone can be very complicated, especially for novices. It's easy to scratch the blade and damage the cutting surface. Fortunately, the German brand has created this sharpening guide 3059721201. It's designed to make your job easier! All you have to do is place it on your stone, then place your blade on it, and finally slide it gently over the stone to sharpen your edge smoothly.

Easy to handle

Your sharpening guide is ergonomically designed for easy handling. This increases your efficiency. What's more, its base has beencoated with a teflon layer, enabling it to glide smoothly over your stone.

What's more, its top surface, the one in contact with the blade, has a flexible layer of black silicone. This prevents any unsightly scratches on the surface of your knife.

Last but not least, its defined 14° angle means you can always maintain the same sharpening pattern, for an even more successful result. Indeed, without a guide, you run the risk of deviating the angle and cutting too much into your knife's steel.

All in all, this little sharpening accessory will make your knives' day!

You'll also find all the sharpening stones selected by KnifeLeader.eu, for a successful job!

Time to adapt to the clip
Ok to get started

Extremely expensive for what it is, very impractical except for 15 seconds for a neophyte to find his angle and quickly abandon it after one or two trips. Bought for a friend who knew nothing about sharpening, doesn't do a better job than a 20-cent piece of plastic found on Chinese sites...but it's metal, and it's got the Wusthof label...

Difficult to use, the knife slips and doesn't stay in the right place. Disappointed for the price.

This guide isn't very practical to use, but maybe I just don't know how to use it.

Perfect for large knives (chef, Santoku...), a little more delicate for small office or folding knives. Probably the best I' ve tried. Does not damage the blade.

It's not easy at first, but I suppose you'll have to persevere. The best thing to do is to practice freehand on your less precious knives before the very beautiful ones...

A little less simple than the usual guides, but it doesn't damage the knives.
Too bad, Japanese gentlemen

For once, the Fridolins have done better than the Samurais. Their sharpening guide ensures that the knife never slips on the whetstone and that the 15° angle is preserved, turning the knife into a razor-sharp edge.

The knife slips while sharpening, and it's hard to get the right angle, so it's going in the cupboard.
