The Wüsthofparing knife is a must-have for your kitchen!
Since 1814, Wüsthof has been designing top-of-the-range knives known the world over. The words"Solingen Germany" are engraved on all the brand's blades: this guarantees that the knives are made in Germany. Their manufacturing process is constantly evolving to guarantee outstanding sharpness and extended durability. The creation process involves more than 40 operations, from forging to tempering, from sharpening to polishing.
Wüsthof's Classic range is extremely comprehensive, comprising almost 80 kitchen knives! It's the perfect way to round off your collection with your own paring knife 1040100409.
A practical, quality paring knife
The blade of this paring knife measures 9cm and is made of X50CrMoV15 stainless steel: this material is highly resistant to corrosion and impact, thanks in particular to its high chromium content. On the Rockwell scale, its hardness is 58HRC: a durable blade whose cutting edge is easy to maintain.
It's called forged, and it's one of the reasons behind the excellence of Wüsthof and its knives. To forge a knife, we use a solid block of steel, which we shape with a press to the desired form. Forging gives the blade greater sharpness, strength and resistance (since it has no welding points).
The full tang runs through the handle and the 3 stainless steel rivets give your knife reliability, as the parts are well assembled together. The black handle is made of synthetic material, which makes the knife much easier to care for!
The POM handle is sturdy and ergonomically designed for a comfortable grip during long use: it's a very handy knife! What's more, it features a developed guard to guarantee safe use.
This versatile little knife with its semi-pointed blade is indispensable for cutting carrots, herbs, zucchinis and apples!
This knife's certifications
All the knives in the Classic range are suitable for all enthusiasts, professional or amateur. They all benefit from NSF certification, which guarantees their quality and certifies that they are not harmful to health. They can therefore be used in professional environments , since they carry this hygiene label.
Wusthof also uses a new PEtec technology, a technical sharpening process that uses a laser to measure the blades before sharpening them. Thanks to this technology, the robots sharpen the blades with extreme precision, for a high-performance finish! Their sharpness is remarkable and their service life is greatly extended.
