Cristel has created a multi-cooker that revolutionizes healthy cooking. Biome is a concentrate of Cristel's expertise in healthy low-temperature cooking.

It respects the quality of the food you want to cook, preserving the vitamins, nutrients and minerals that are essential to your health.

Biome combines a steam cooker and a saucepan, and combines 3 different cooking modes:

- gentle cooking: between 65°C and 90°C, ideal for low-temperature cooking in the saucepan, such as simmering.

- steam cooking: below 95°C, perfect for savory and sweet recipes. It preserves the vitamins, appearance and color of food.

- combined cooking: a combination of gentle cooking and steaming to prepare a complete, balanced meal for the whole family in one go.

Biome consists of a steamer, a saucepan, a domed lid, a thermometer and 2 handles.

Steamer

This element is made entirely of 18/10 stainless steel, a material known for its high resistance to corrosion thanks to the presence of chromium in its composition. Also containing 10% nickel, 18/10 stainless steel has excellent food neutrality: it does not retain food tastes or odors, and does not denature them.

Stainless steel 18/10 is ideal for bringing out all the flavors of the food you're cooking, while protecting your health. The steamer's perforated bottom allows steam to circulate perfectly for fat-free cooking.

2 opposing handles ensure easy handling of the steamer. By fitting the black or raspberry handles, you're guaranteed not to burn yourself.

Saucepan

The saucepan comes from Cristel's Casteline range. Its body is made of Multiply trilaminate, i.e. 3 layers: 18/10 stainless steel - aluminum - 18/10 stainless steel.

This 3-layer base is heat-resistant and diffuses heat perfectly. Its thermal efficiency is exceptional, and it distributes heat over the entire cooking surface. Multiply technology allows you to cook without water or fat, and maintains temperature while your dish is being served.

Thanks to its aluminum and special induction stainless steel base, the pan is compatible with all burners, including halogen and induction. It is also oven and grill safe. With a total of 5 layers, the pan's cooking performance is exceptional.

The practical interior is graduated every 0.5L, so you can easily measure out your preparations. Its closed edges are ideal for use with a steamer or lid if you want to use it on its own.

Like the steamer, it has 2 opposite handles, so you can easily move it around the kitchen or to your table for serving.

Lid

The Platine lid is made of tempered glass, offering high thermal resistance and shock resistance. Its curved shape directs condensation droplets around its perimeter, protecting the food.

Its anti-corrosion stainless steel ring ensures a perfect fit with the steamer or saucepan, preventing air from passing through.

A stainless steel knob with a notch completes it, so you can add a handle or grip, but above all the Biome thermometer.

Thermometer

The thermometer lets you control your cooking. It is placed on the domed lid for maximum precision. A pointer indicates the temperature reached between 0 and 150°C. A 3-color indicator shows whether the temperature is low (yellow), normal (green) or high (red).

Removable handles

Biome comes with 2 Mutine handles made from bakelite. This is a thermoset resin known for its lightness and high resistance to heat.

Available in white, black or raspberry, they feature a corrosion-resistant stainless steel mechanism that clips onto the handles of the Biome steamer or saucepan.

The Biome cooker is a versatile cooking utensil that's also dishwasher-safe. A genuine top-of-the-range cooker, it is certified "Origine France Garantie".

It comes with a booklet of 30 recipes (around 10 recipes for each cooking mode) and a Quick Start sheet giving you all the cooking times for foods (meat, fish, fruit and vegetables).

With a diameter of 20cm, the Biome cooker has a total capacity of 6.2L and is ideal for recipes for 2 to 3 people.
