The name Crafter refers to the craftsmanship of Wüsthof's blacksmiths in their handling of wood: quality and precision are the hallmarks of the entire Crafter range.
Here's how this set is composed:

The blades are made of X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, an alloy resistant to shock and corrosion. They are made of forged steel: they are shaped from a single block of steel heated to high temperature, then given their shape with a press. This technique requires a great deal of skill on the part of the blacksmith to give your knives the right balance. The blades have undergone a final laser-controlled sharpening to ensure an efficient edge for precise cutting. They have a hardness of 58HRC, making them easy to sharpen so that they retain their cutting edge for as long as possible!
The handles of these knives are made from high-quality smoked oak: a durable wood that is highly resistant to moisture and impact, and therefore won't warp. They are ergonomically shaped to ensure a comfortable grip and perfect handling, especially during prolonged use. They feature 3 brass rivets that hold the full tang blade in place in the handle, giving your knives enhanced reliability.
