The Alessi Pleated Toaster is a piece of haute couture that will dress up your worktop and add style to all your breakfasts.
It was designed by Italian architect Michele De Lucchi. He is very well known in Italy and has been part of the international scene since the 80s.
He mixes product design with building architecture, academic research and brand image consultancy with panache. The Plissé product range refers to the world of fashion and designers who use fabrics to create garments and sculptural forms. Here, contemporary meets classic, resulting in a refined, timeless object full of contrast. It will leave no one indifferent. It adapts easily to the purest of kitchens, and becomes an integral part of the décor.
Beyond its undeniable aesthetic appeal, the Plissé toaster is an ergonomic appliance that fulfills its primary function very well. First and foremost, it is made of resistant thermoplastic resin.
Secondly, it features 6 degrees of browning, to suit all your needs (for those who like their toast more or less toasted). You can use it for bagels, but also to defrost slices or quickly reheat bread.
Backlit controls make it easy to read and use. While the contours of your appliance are made of resin, the interior is made of stainless steel, a material that leaves no taste and lasts a long time.
It also features a removable crumb tray for easy removal of excess crumbs.
Last but not least, its non-slip base ensures safe and stable use.
To maintain it, simply brush away small crumbs and empty the crumb tray regularly, and you can also use a soft damp cloth for the exterior (the toaster must not be placed under water or in the dishwasher).
The toaster is available in two colors to suit all kitchens: black or white.
