Place the sharpener on a flat, stable surface. Select the desired angle using the thumbwheel. Pass the blade through the COARSE slot, pulling towards you 5 to 8 times depending on the condition of the knife. For a very blunt blade, start at 30° and refine to 25°. Finish with 3 to 5 passes through the FINE slot for a perfect finish.
Always pull the blade, without pushing, and without excessive pressure.
