The plate features a powerful double-sided adhesive strip that attaches securely to the stone's aluminum base. This makes changing the plate very easy.

Multiple highly abrasive diamond particles coat the steel plate. These particles are electro-bonded to the plate so they won't come loose, and they ensure that water and material residues run off smoothly during sharpening.

The plate's fine #1200 mediumgrit makes it perfect for finishing the sharpening of low-HRC knives, but is also suitable for starting the sharpening of high-HRC blades. A versatile sharpening plate.

Easy replacement of the used plate

The plate is easily replaced by following the steps below:

1. Heat the used plate: place the stone in hot water for about 15 minutes to encourage the plate to loosen.

2. Remove the plate: using a flathead screwdriver or similar, pry the plate from the base. Proceed gently so as not to damage the stone and avoid injury.

3. Clean the base: this step is necessary to remove all glue residues and degrease the base. Use acetone or white spirit.

4. Install the new plate: take care to align the plate with the base as accurately as possible. Once secure, press firmly.
