This replacement plate is just what you need if your Atoma Economy 600Sharpening stone stops sharpening. It's interchangeable, so you don't have to buy a whole new stone. Atoma thinks of your wallet and saves you money!

The complete stone consists of a steel plate glued to an aluminum base so you can change it. The plate is securely bonded to the base with a powerful double-sided adhesive tape. Your new plate has the same adhesive strip.

The surface of the plate is studded with multiple highly abrasive diamond particles. Distributed in small dots, these particles are electro-bonded to the plate to prevent them from coming loose and to ensure easy drainage of water and material residues.

With its medium coarse #600grit, the plate is ideal for starting out sharpening blades in good condition that no longer cut or cut only slightly. This grit removes a little material to reshape the blade's cutting edge.

Easily change the plate on your sharpening stone

Replacing the old plate with a new one is relatively simple, provided you follow these steps:

1. Heat the plate to be replaced: place the stone in hot water for 15 minutes, so that the glue begins to loosen.

2. Detach the plate to be replaced: use a prying tool (such as a flathead screwdriver) to pry off the aluminum base. Do this carefully to avoid injury and damage to the stone.

3. Clean the base: cleaning with acetone or white spirit will remove all glue residues from the base, while degreasing it thoroughly.

4. Fit the new plate: align the plate with the base to be precise, and press firmly once secure.
