The sharp blade of the Benchmade Mini Barrage 585 pocket knife is made of 154CM stainless steel. This is a premium quality steel developed for industrial applications and known for its versatile qualities. 154CM offers a good balance between corrosion resistance, toughness and edge retention. This metal alloy has a Rockwell hardness of 58-61HRC. The handle is made of valox, a glass-reinforced composite material that is extremely lightweight and durable.
On the opening side, the process is assisted by a spring. This extracts the cutting edge from the handle once the user manually pushes the blade beyond a certain point. This Benchmade pocket knife is equipped with a secondary locking mechanism in addition to its Axis-Lock. This mechanism secures the blade in both open and closed positions. This is an ideal feature for safety-conscious users. Of course, it is entirely possible not to use this secondary lock.
Finally, for carrying, we have a reversible tip-up pocket clip so you can hang the knife from your trouser or jacket pocket.
