This folding knife was quite simply voted best knife of the year by the renowned German magazine Messer magazine in 2015. This Le Thiers collection is the work of Claude Dozorme, a renowned master knife-maker who has succeeded in the daring challenge of fusing tradition and technology in a single knife. Indeed, this little cutting jewel incorporates a unique safety mechanism: it's the up and down movement of the ball that activates the locking and unlocking of the blade. As a result, this knife cannot be opened unless it is oriented in the right direction.
Its opening/closing system is just as modern: simply apply finger pressure to the blade to engage or disengage it.
Claude Dozorme choseSwedish sandvick 14C28N steel to shape his blade, and not by chance. In fact, it is corrosion-resistant, has a cutting capacity that is as powerful as it is durable, and last but not least, it withstands sharpening perfectly.
The juniper wood handle enhances the aesthetic appeal of this knife. Juniper wood is not only elegant, it is also highly appreciated by cutlers for its functional properties: it is robust and rot-proof.
