The Claude Dozorme factory, founded in 1902 near Thiers by Blaise Dozorme, known as "le loup", is not only synonymous with a long family tradition, but also represents the symbol of ancestral know-how in French cutlery.
The Le Thiers liner lock collection is no exception to the rule, all made in the Claude Dozorme workshops located in the Thiers basin. All finishing is done by hand, to offer you unparalleled quality. They are nomadic knives, thanks to their small size and maximum lightness, and can be adapted to both urban and mountain lifestyles. They're easy to carry, with a pen-style clip firmly screwed onto the inside of the handle so you can stow it in your shirt pocket or trouser belt.
The"Liner lock" opening and closing system features a modern design and offers total security for recurrent handling. Simply push one of the inner plates outwards to release the blade and close the knife. The inner plate locks the blade, acting as a spring to keep it open.
The X50CrMoV15 steel used to design the blade is highly resistant to corrosion, ensuring a long-lasting cutting edge and easy sharpening when required. This alloy is also characterized by its robustness, reaching 56-57 HRC on the Rockwell scale. The engraving on the inside of the blade reads: "Le Thiers par Claude Dozorme made in France", assuring you of the product's authenticity.
The handle is made of olive wood, a noble, natural and resistant material that lends a great deal of elegance to this knife, all the more so as it is a color that blends perfectly with the steel of the blade. As wood is a living material, its appearance can vary significantly from one tree to another within the same species. This is one of the reasons for the knife's charm, as each piece is unique. Finally, the pen-style pin on the back of the handle, as well as the fastening screws, are made of 18/10 steel, renowned for its strength and rust-resistance.
