The Claude Dozorme Compostelle folding knife, originally from the Pyrenees, is an integral part of the history, heritage and expertise of French cutlery. Claude Dozorme honors it by also paying tribute to the legendary capital of Galicia, the city of Santiago de Compostela.
The blade is made of X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, a clever blend that enables it to cut efficiently and, above all, durably, thanks to its hardness of 56-57 HRC on the Rockwell scale. A further advantage of this alloy is that the knife is easy to resharpen. Last but not least, the blade is distinguished by the engraving indicating the "voie du Puy", one of the famous paths leading to the city of Santiago de Compostela.
The Capucin model takes its name from the particular shape of its handle, with a corbin reminiscent of the Capucin monks' hood. Claude Dozorme has therefore chosen to give this shape to his "Chemin de Compostelle" model, dressing it in a beautiful, natural and resistant material: light bovine horn.
Last but not least, master cutler Claude Dozorme has thought of everything, since a tightening key is included with this folding knife to avoid the constraint of having a loose axle giving play to the blade.
