The Claude DOZORME factory, founded in 1902 near Thiers by Blaise Dozorme, known as "Le Loup", is the expression of a long family tradition that has been perpetuated for four generations. Claudine Dozorme, Blaise's great-granddaughter, has taken up the torch, always striving to sublimate ever more audacious and avant-garde cutlery.
The Liner lock knife collection successfully combines modernity and tradition. They offer you the charm of a noble knife, while incorporating a modern Liner Lock opening and closing system. All these folding knives are discreet and easy to carry, thanks to their small size and the pin that doubles as a belt clip and bill-holder.
The blade is made of X50CrMoV15 steel, a skilful blend that gives these knives brilliance and resistance to corrosion, wear and the acidity of food. This composition is also characterized by a robust, easy-to-sharpen steel with a hardness of between 56 and 57 HRC on the Rockwell scale. The signature "Le Thiers par Claude Dozorme made in France" visible on the blade attests to the provenance of these knives.
The handle is clad in ram's horn, a high-quality material of animal origin, found on helmets, siege rams, ship's prows and architecture. In addition to their beauty, animal skins have the advantage of aging well, acquiring an incomparable platinum over the years.
Last but not least, it's important to remember that, like wood, horn is a living material whose appearance can vary significantly from one horn to another, for the same model. As a result, each piece is unique in its nuance and veining.
