This regional Claude Dozorme pocket knife belongs to the "Les Capucins de nos campagnes" family. The famous "au Loup" brand wished to update these knives used by Pyrenean shepherds since the Middle Ages.
The blade is made exclusively from X50CrMoV15 stainless steel, an ingenious composition that gives the blade a long-lasting sharpness. Its strength lies between 56 and 57 HRC on the Rockwell scale, giving the blade the invaluable advantage of being easily resharpened with a whetstone.
The shape of the handle is the same as that of a classic Capucin model, with a slight curvature at the spur. The originality lies in the choice of material for the handle: boxwood, a species renowned for its softness to the touch, its brilliance and the finesse of its grain.
Last but not least, Claude Dozorme supplies a kit to retighten the rotary shaft, so you'll never have to worry about this inconvenience for the life of your pocket knife.
