Description

Sharpen your kitchen knives efficiently with DMT

DMT is an internationally recognized brand in the field of sharpening solutions. It sets itself apart by producing top-quality, long-lasting products for amateurs and professionals alike!

This DMT whetstone features a double-sided abrasive diamond steel plate, guaranteeing exceptional durability and efficiency:

220-grit face: this extra-thick grit enables you to sharpen a dull blade whose cutting edge no longer cuts at all. Its highly abrasive capacity is effective in straightening the cutting edge.

325 grit face: perfectly suited to sharpening a blade with a dull cutting edge. It also cleans up the edge that has already been roughened.

What's more, this diamond sharpening stone comes with a non-slip base that prevents you from slipping during the sharpening process! So you can use your stone in complete safety.

How do I use a whetstone?

Avoid using oil when sharpening. Instead, sharpen dry or with a small amount of water for a clean, sharp result. You can also sharpen your knives dry.

Place the whetstone on its base and gently lift one side of the stone to allow steel residues to drain easily. Start sharpening your knife at an angle of 15° to 20°. Once you've found the right position, move back and forth, maintaining a constant sharpening angle. Apply slight pressure during the forward movement and release the pressure by bringing your knife towards you. Repeat these steps on the other side of the blade for uniform sharpening.

After sharpening, rinse your diamond sharpening stone and clean it with a soft brush. Finally, wipe dry with a dry cloth and leave the stone to dry at room temperature, out of direct sunlight.
