Description

The practical double-sided diamond whetstone

DMT is recognized worldwide as a benchmark in sharpening solutions. This brand distinguishes itself by producing high-quality , long-lasting items for both amateurs and professionals!

The DMT whetstone features a double-sided abrasive diamond steel plate, ensuring exceptional durability and efficiency:

325 grit face: perfectly suited to sharpening a blade with a blunt edge. This coarse grit is highly effective because it is very abrasive.

600 grit face: ideal for restoring a functional edge. This thick grit is ideal for in-depth sharpening of your blades, for kitchen knives that have lost their edge. It can be used after 325 grit for a dull blade, or as a first step for a knife that slices with difficulty.

This diamond sharpening stone also comes with a non-slip base for optimum stability during use, eliminating any risk of slipping.

How do I sharpen a kitchen knife?

Avoid using oil during sharpening. Instead, sharpen dry or with a small amount of water to obtain a clean, crisp result. You can also dry-sharpen your knives.

Place the whetstone on its base. Gently lift one side of the stone to allow steel residues to drain easily. Sharpen your knife at an angle of 15° to 20°. Once you've found the right position, move back and forth, maintaining a constant sharpening angle. Apply slight pressure during the forward movement and release the pressure as you bring the knife back towards you. Repeat these steps on the other side of the blade to ensure even sharpening.

After sharpening, rinse the diamond plate and clean it with a soft brush. Finally, wipe dry with a dry cloth and leave the stone to dry at room temperature, out of direct sunlight.
