5 sturdy, versatile kitchen knives
This block contains 5 kitchen knives that are indispensable for everyday use. They provide versatility for cutting all kinds of food:
- 1 9cm paring knife: for peeling and slicing small fruits and vegetables
- 1 universal knife 11cm: for cutting, peeling and chopping small to medium-sized fruit and vegetables
- 1 20cm carving knife: for thinly slicing cooked meats
- 1 20cm chef's knife: for cutting, chopping and chiseling fruits, vegetables, boneless raw meats and boneless fish
- 1 20cm bread knife: for slicing all breads, buns and pastries
Knife blades are made of 3Cr13 stainless steel, an alloy that is both corrosion-resistant and robust. With a hardness of 55 HRC, this steel ensures a long-lasting, high-performance cutting edge that's easy to sharpen whenever necessary.
Knife handles are made from beech wood. This is a strong, durable wood that can be recognized by its light color. A slight grain accentuates the color of the wood, giving them an elegant appearance. As wood is a natural element, the look of each handle differs from one knife to another. Beech wood is a timeless material that allows your knives to harmonize with the rest of your decor.
The wooden plates are firmly attached to the knife tang by 3 stainless steel rivets. The knives' strength is enhanced for safe cutting. The shape of the handles is slender, with the heel tapering slightly for a comfortable, yet easy-to-handle grip.
An elegant and practical knife block
The kitchen knives are presented in a wooden block. Adorned in black, the block is both sturdy and elegant. Thanks to its modern look, it complements your kitchen knives and sits easily on your worktop. Measuring 36 x 16 x 10.5 cm, this block takes up very little space in your kitchen.
It contains 5 slots dedicated to each of your kitchen knives. These slots provide secure storage for your knives, preventing you from injuring yourself when you're not using them. They also protect your knives from colliding with each other.
To clean the block, we recommend wiping it with a clean cloth. As far as knives are concerned, never put them in the dishwasher. Instead, wash them by hand, avoiding getting the handles wet. Then wipe the blades thoroughly before putting the knives back in the block. You can occasionally apply a little clear vegetable oil to the handles to nourish and shine them.
