Homey's Tools for Life brings you this elegant set of a chef knife and Japanese chopsticks, so you can prepare and serve your dishes just like in Japan.

The chef's knife has a 21cm blade made of German 1.4116 stainless steel. The alloy, with a hardness of 57 HRC, is both robust and corrosion-resistant, providing an efficient, easy-to-maintain cutting edge. The front of the blade features superb motifs originally drawn by Keith Haring, the famous American artist. These motifs add a cheerful touch to your knife, for preparations made with conviviality in mind.

The handle measures 15cm and is made from wenge wood. This exotic dark-brown wood is characterized by an elegant lighter striped grain. It is a strong, durable hardwood with good resistance to bacteria.

The heel of the handle is made of stainless steel and features motifs matching those on the blade, a symbol of Keith Haring. An ebony wood bolster surrounded by 2 stainless steel rings completes the handle to give the knife good balance.

The knife comes with a pair of Japanese chopsticks called Saibashi. Measuring 30cm in length, these chopsticks are the perfect complement to the knife. Longer and thicker than Chinese chopsticks for tasting, Saibashi chopsticks are ideal for whisking and stirring, as well as turning and serving food.

Saibashi chopsticks are made from the same materials as the knife: stainless steel for the tip and wenge wood for the handle.

The knife and chopsticks are part of Homey's Keith Haring collection. Keith Haring was a famous American artist of the 1980s, mainly known for his drawings and paintings. Inspired by urban culture, such as graffiti, he drew on vacant billboards and the New York subway to reach a wide audience. His aim was to create a sense of unity and forge relationships across cultural and social boundaries.

Deeply inspired by Japan, he traveled there several times to launch collaborations, artistic projects and to open the famous Pop Shop Tokyo on his return to the United States. His work blends his style with Japanese culture, and this is what prompted Homey's to create cookware in his image, to keep his heritage alive.
