This Fischer steel sharpening gun with 25cm standard wick is ideal for sharpening all your knives!
This Fischer sharpening steel is ideal for sharpening tired knives that have lost their cutting power.
The 25cm wick is made of 100C6 chromium-plated carbon steel. The hard chromium coating is between 8 and 10 microns thick. This coating protects against corrosion and increases surface hardness by 3 to 4 HRC on the edges.
Heat treatment ensures a bit hardness of 63 to 65 HRC. This feature enables you to sharpen all steels.
The bi-material handle is designed by Fischer. It is composed of 2 materials: grey elastomer and red synthetic. The elastomer keeps your hand on the handle during use, without the risk of slipping. Synthetic is particularly resistant.
Fischer Sharpening steels are magnetized to retain the tiny steel particles that detach from the knife blade during sharpening.
Here are the cuttings available from Fischer:
- Standard: this type of cutter is recommended for less intensive use of the knife. It is ideal for dull knives and worn threads. It is not suitable for daily use, as it can cause material loss on your knives.
- Fine: these guns perfectly restore the smooth cutting edge and mor-fil of professional blades. You can use it every day, several times a day.
- Extra fine: FISCHROM series knives are used to sharpen knife edges to a razor-sharp finish.
The expertise and quality of Fischer products have always earned them a reputation among professionals.
Our advice: For daily sharpening, use a steel sharpening steel with a low abrasive content. For sharpening (if the edge is dull), use a more abrasive ceramic or diamond sharpening steel.
