Opinel knife N°08 Horizon orange

Inspired by modern outdoor practices, the Opinel N°08 Horizon orange knife combines lightness, sturdiness and well-thought-out features to follow you everywhere, without ever making a fuss.

Designed for nature

Designed by Opinel, this pocket knife is made in France and weighs just 63g- a real featherweight, ready to take on hiking, mountain biking, canoeing or the Sunday bivouac. Its bright orange color is an immediate eye-catcher.

The smooth 8cm blade is made of high-quality stainless steel. It offers excellent cutting quality and corrosion resistance. With a hardness of around 55 to 57HRC, it retains a high-performance cutting edge while remaining easy to sharpen.

The Virobloc system locks the blade in the open position for safe use, and in the closed position for safe transportation. The 30% fiberglass-reinforced polyamide handle is resistant to water, shock and extreme temperatures from -40°C to +80°C.

The Opinel n°08 Horizon has other assets:

• A 110dB ball-less whistle with a 300m range integrated into the heel of the knife
• A lanyard loop ideal for easily attaching the knife to a bag or carabiner

Recommendations for use

After each use, wipe the blade with a soft cloth. If the knife has been exposed to moisture or acidic foods, rinse and dry thoroughly. Regular sharpening with a suitable stone or grinder will preserve the full cutting quality. The synthetic handle is resistant to water and mud.
