The Laguiole knife, a must-have for your table:
This renowned knife has been in the minds of the French for generations. It's a model that will accompany you for years to come, in your many cuts. However, contrary to what you might think, this knife has several origins. There's no such thing as a single Laguiole knife, but rather one that comes from different places and has its own specific characteristics. For example, there are laguiole knives created in Thiers, and others created in Aveyron, in Laguiole... As you can see, there is no single source of production, and there are many more! Whatever its origin, this knife will find its place on your table, for your daily meals or for entertaining guests. Between the diversity of blade shapes and handle materials, you're bound to find one that's just right for you.
As we said, the Laguiole knife is infinitely versatile! You can find, for example, a damascus laguiole knife, with a multi-layer blade that's highly aesthetic and resistant, or a folding laguiole knife for all your outings in nature, for cutting meat in bivouacs, for slicing cords... Certain brands are also well known, like the aubrac laguiole knife that we offer on the site, sold individually or in the form of attractive table sets. Materials are equally varied: olive wood, ebony, juniper...you'll even find modern versions with carbon handles! Whether you're an inveterate knife enthusiast or a newcomer to the sport, you're bound to be delighted with this knife. And if you want to protect your Laguiole knife, get a sheath!
