Made in the USA, the Mini Freek 565BK-02 folding knife features a CPM-M4 stainless steel blade . This is reputed to be one of the strongest steels in its class. It has excellent edge retention and is resistant to surface wear. This metal alloy is therefore capable of handling virtually any task.
With a high Rockwell hardness of 62-64HRC, the blade is specially designed to last and withstand extreme conditions, while offering exceptional sharpness. However, it should be noted that it is not totally corrosion-resistant, so it is important to clean the blade thoroughly after each use. To remedy this, Benchmade has added a black Cerakote protective coating to the blade, reinforcing its resistance to rust.
As for the handle, it is made of comfortable-to-handle G10. G10 is obtained by mixing resin-impregnated glass fibers, then hardening them by firing. The result is a material that is strong, light and highly resistant.
The Mini Freek knife opens smoothly thanks to thethumb stud on both sides of the blade. This model features the ambidextrous Axis Lock locking system. The blade locks automatically when opened, and to unlock it, simply slide the pin button downwards.
What's more, this Benchmade folding knife features a pocket clip that makes it easy to carry in a jacket or trouser pocket. The clip is adjustable to suit both left- and right-handed users. It also features a lanyard hole.
